This position is best suited for a licensed Speech Language Pathologist that brings previous experience working with the birth to eighteen-year-old population and is comfortable working in a wonderful team environment. At this time, only residents local to Los Angeles and Orange County will be considered. Progress Speech & Language Center (PSL) is a passionate and dedicated multidisciplinary team with knowledgeable, skillful therapists. QUALIFICATIONS
CA Speech Language Pathologist license One year's experience, at minimum Bilingual is preferred, but not required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide SLPA supervision to meet the California state guidelines Advises and consults with the family and SLPA Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures. Completes reevaluation on your SLPA caseload and submits progress reports 6 weeks prior to authorization expiration. (must meet the timeline for report submission) Performs all skilled SLP services for supervising SLPA. Writes reports to funding source regarding patient's progress. Instructs patients and parent/caregiver in home programs. Completes and submits standard assessments, reassessments, and transfers, discharges and any significant changes in condition in accordance with PSL policies. Completes a discharge summary upon completion of therapy services. Prepares and submits patient evaluations, clinical and progress notes in a timely manner as outlined in Agency policy. Adheres to PSL standards and consistently interprets and accurately performs all assigned responsibilities. Maintains acceptable attendance status, per Company policy. Appearance is always within PSL standards; is clean and well groomed. Scrubs are required. Demonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation. Demonstrates reasonable clinical judgment, critical thinking and decision making.
