05/06/2026 Falmouth Public Schools seeks an enthusiastic, collaborative speech/language pathologist to join Falmouth Elementary School and serve on our special education team. The position is currently expected to be 4 days (28 hours) per week. Required qualifications Maine Department of Education certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team in inclusive settings Experience with children in educational or clinical settings Preferred qualifications Experience as a speech/language pathologist at the elementary level Strong knowledge of special education regulations, including requirements for identification of students with speech/language impairments Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to support, Augmentative and Alternative Communication ASHA certification, CCC-SLP Responsibilities Provide speech/language therapy for students with individualized education programs Conduct assessments as requested by individualized education program teams Conduct speech/language screenings as requested Provide case management for students identified for special education services as students with speech/language impairments Provide consultation to teachers and parents regarding language development Provide pre-referral speech/language interventions and supports in classrooms for students at risk for developing speech/language disorders or delays Stay current with research, best practices, and trends in school-based speech/language pathology Provide speech/language interventions across settings Falmouth Schools are located on a 100-acre district K-12 campus in Falmouth, Maine, a coastal community bordering the city of Portland.
