Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP licensure in California (or eligibility to obtain) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows also considered Prior experience working in a school setting is a plus Exceptional communication, organizational, and documentation skills Compassion, patience, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students, including both group and individual sessions Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to teachers, administrators, and parents Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations Support teachers and staff with classroom strategies to promote communication skills Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology and school-based practices Perks of this
