Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract role serving Pre K through 6th-grade students across two engaging school sites near Glendale, CA. This hands-on opportunity provides a mix of full-time school year (CSY), extended school year (ESY), and next school year (NSY) options, giving you the chance to support students through multiple academic cycles. You'll work with a diverse caseload, primarily elementary and middle school students with mild articulation needs, mild to moderate disabilities impacting language, and a select group with AAC requirements. Your week will be split between two campuses—two days at one site (staff hours: 7:45 am - 3:15 pm) and three days at the other (8:15 am - 3:45 pm), allowing for professional variety while nurturing long-term student relationships.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Experience in elementary and/or middle school settings Ability to work with mild articulation delays and language deficits Familiarity with AAC devices and mild-moderate disability support Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Comfortable managing an itinerant schedule across two school sites
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to a caseload of TK-6th students Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state standards Support AAC device implementation for select students This contract begins as soon as possible, with options to complete the current school year through June 11, extend for ESY (June 17-July 17), and/or stay on for the 2026-2027 academic cycle beginning August 5.
