Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position offers a full-time, 35-hour-per-week schedule from August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027. You'll support a caseload of approximately 55 students across either Scotten Elementary, Bell Hill Academy (K-4), Lyman Gilmore Middle School (5-8), and homeschool/private school students. Enjoy a consistent weekday routine from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch, allowing you to maintain a balanced workday.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Active state licensure (or eligibility) as required for school-based practice Experience or strong interest in working with elementary and middle school students Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Role Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy plans Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Deliver direct therapy services, both individually and in groups, using evidence-based methods Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings Provide consultation, resources, and strategies for faculty, families, and support staff This is a fantastic chance to make a real impact in the educational journey of children while gaining valuable experience in a school community.
