Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting communication needs in an engaging elementary school setting as a full-time, contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This position is perfect for candidates interested in working within a collaborative and inclusive school environment near Hayward, CA, with a particular focus on elementary caseloads. New graduates seeking their Clinical Fellowship are encouraged to apply, as well as experienced professionals. What you'll need to succeed: Current, active California licensure as an SLP or SLPA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLPs preferred Experience in school-based settings is a plus, especially with elementary populations Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory Enthusiasm for supporting students' academic and social success Willingness to collaborate with educators, families, and school staff Flexibility and openness to serve a dynamic and evolving caseload Responsibilities include: Providing assessments, therapy, and support for students' communication goals in accordance with their IEPs Participating in multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement effective interventions Documenting progress, preparing reports, and liaising with educators and families Supporting inclusive classroom practice and school initiatives Additional duties related to speech-language services as assigned (For SLPAs) Working under supervision consistent with state regulations—supervision details to follow As part of this contract role, you'll enjoy the unique rewards of school-based work—regular school hours, opportunities for professional collaboration, and the chance to make a lasting impact on students' communication skills.
