Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A short-term contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential coverage while a staff member is on leave. This position involves working full-time with preschool-aged children, primarily conducting speech and language assessments. The contract runs from May 26 to June 17 and is located in Huntington Beach, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language evaluations for preschool students in accordance with established protocols. Interpret assessment results and develop appropriate documentation. Collaborate with educational staff and parents to discuss evaluation outcomes and support strategies. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting. Adhere to all relevant school policies and guidelines related to student health and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Valid certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience conducting speech and language assessments with preschool-aged children. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff. Ability to manage caseload efficiently within a condensed time frame. Familiarity with school-based therapy environments and procedures is preferred.
