A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students with speech and language disorders Develop and execute individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Provide engaging therapy sessions focused on speech and language objectives Accurately monitor, document, and report student progress Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of educators and specialists for coordinated care Involve and educate families to reinforce therapy goals at home

Qualifications & Skills:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Current state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility to obtain Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience with pediatric or school-aged populations is highly desirable Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment Active license issued by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology You'll become part of a supportive network, including access to an advisory team comprised of experienced SLPs ready to help with ongoing guidance and professional growth.
