Speech Therapist (SLP) (Home Health)

We are looking for a Speech Therapist in the Lancaster/Pamdale CA areas, to provide in-home therapy services . The ideal candidate is compassionate, communicative, and able to work independently and with a team to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate levels of speech, language, or swallowing difficulty Identify treatment options Create and carry out an individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needs Teach children and adults how to make sounds and improve their voices and maintain fluency Help individuals improve vocabulary and sentence structure used in oral and written language Work with children and adults to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow Counsel individuals and families on how to cope with communication and swallowing disorders Schedule with patients and be able to communicate effectively Offer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients' speech Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally Consult and practice with other health professionals Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress Document patient care services Skills Proven work experience as a Speech Therapist Intensive education and clinical expertise Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities Current knowledge of treatment practices Drive to continually learn and grow Professional behavior Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Requirements/Qualifications:

Speech Therapy License Active Driver's License CPR Certification Liability Insurance Auto Insurance Experience in Home Health (Preferred) This is an Independent Contractor position, CA Business License preferred.
