Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing services across varied healthcare settings nationwide. In this role, you will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes. You'll document care accurately, educate patients and families, and adapt quickly to new environments while traveling between assignments. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations for diverse patient populations across multiple facilities Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely within facility and Fusion Medical Staffing standards Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, PT/OT, and other care team members to coordinate holistic patient care Educate patients and families on communication strategies, home programs, and progress toward functional goals Adapt quickly to new clinical environments, workflows, and EMR systems as you travel between assignments Participate in case conferences and quality improvement initiatives to support high-quality patient outcomes Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA and state practice guidelines Required Skills Speech and Language Assessment Swallowing (Dysphagia) Management Development and Implementation of Treatment Plans EHR/Clinical Documentation Pediatric and/or Adult Speech Therapy Knowledge of AAC Devices and Strategies Interdisciplinary Care Coordination Telepractice Familiarity Cognitive-Communication Rehabilitation Patient and Family Education
