Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This position spans January through June 2027 and is based at a single, welcoming elementary school in the Monterey, CA area. You'll have the benefit of excellent administrative support, ensuring your focus remains on delivering exceptional services to students.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Valid state licensure for SLP practice (CA license preferred) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Recent experience working with elementary school-aged children Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities Commitment to collaborative teamwork with school staff and families
Core Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive assessments and provide direct speech/language therapy to students Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Partner with teachers, specialists, and families to foster student progress Maintain timely and detailed documentation of student goals, services, and outcomes Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and professional development as needed Serve as a resource for staff regarding speech and language strategies within the classroom If you're passionate about helping students achieve their communication goals and thrive in school, this contract role offers you the chance to make a real difference.
