About the Employer The Moraga School District is located in Moraga, California, beyond the Oakland hills and east of San Francisco. Our students consistently score advanced and proficient on California standardized tests while excelling in art, music, technology, physical education and a variety of intermediate school electives. Job Summary Under the direction of the Principal and the Director of Pupil Services, serve as a speech and language teacher planning, implementing, and assessing K-8 activities for pupils identified with speech, hearing or language deficits. Essential Elements:
Under the direction of a Principal or the Director of Pupil Services, plans and implements activities for pupils identified with speech, hearing or language deficits.
  • Administers and interprets appropriate speech and language tests.
  • Designs individualized programs addressing form, content and function of language and speech.
  • Monitors individual pupil behavior programs.
  • Provide individual/group therapy for students as specified in the IEP, in consultation with staff.
  • Work cooperatively with students, staff, parents, support staff, district personnel and other agencies.
We require a valid California Clinical or Rehabilitation Credential with an authorization in Speech, Language and Hearing. Qualified candidates may also hold a masters degree in Communicative Disorders and a valid license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
