Job Summary Under the direction of the Principal and the Director of Pupil Services, serve as a speech and language teacher planning, implementing, and assessing K-8 activities for pupils identified with speech, hearing or language deficits. Essential Elements:

Under the direction of a Principal or the Director of Pupil Services, plans and implements activities for pupils identified with speech, hearing or language deficits.

• Administers and interprets appropriate speech and language tests.
• Designs individualized programs addressing form, content and function of language and speech.
• Monitors individual pupil behavior programs.
• Provide individual/group therapy for students as specified in the IEP, in consultation with staff.
• Work cooperatively with students, staff, parents, support staff, district personnel and other agencies.

We require a valid California Clinical or Rehabilitation Credential with an authorization in Speech, Language and Hearing. Qualified candidates may also hold a masters degree in Communicative Disorders and a valid license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
