Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide dedicated support to elementary students in Nevada City, CA. This full-time contract position spans 160-170 days and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the communication development of children in grades TK-5. The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 40-45 students at a single elementary site, providing individualized therapy and collaborating with educators and families to support student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop tailored speech and language therapy plans for students Deliver direct therapy services to students with diverse communication needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to foster student success Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs)
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist credential/license Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize time Knowledge of current speech and language therapy techniques and practices
