What You Will Do Provides clinical direction, mentorship, and leadership to the Rehab Services staff. Assists supervisors in ensuring quality patient care through professional development and education coordination. Coordinates internal and external educational efforts for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, and Speech Therapy, including student internship programs and onsite continuing education. Will work closely with the Rehab Services Management to ensure the advancement and enhancement of clinical skills for all licensed therapy staff while serving as a resource to the department. Performs evaluations, develops, and implements treatment plan for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric populations with various diagnoses. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers, and other health professionals. Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Required Qualifications Other Graduate of an accredited and approved school for Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy 1 Year clinical experience (PT, OT, or Speech). AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare)

Preferred Qualifications Experience in a specialty area or advanced practice. Other Qualification Requirements Licensed or eligible for license by the Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy Board of California, required. Membership to the American Physical Therapy Association, preferred. Advanced clinical skills in 1 area or advanced certification, preferred. Provides patient evaluation and/or treatment plan for various diagnoses in an organized and systematic manner according to institutional policy. Maintain departmental productivity standards. Establish mechanisms to systematically assess clinical development needs of Rehab Services staff for all disciplines including interviews, questionnaires, and competency assessments. Facilitate, plan, and implement multidisciplinary educational opportunities in accordance with identified departmental staff needs and interests across all disciplines and locations. Provides ongoing education directly to staff regarding improving clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and workflow efficiencies. Completes ongoing chart and real time reviews of the delivery of patient care across all settings to assess opportunities for educational advancement and professional development. Complete coverage responsibilities in the absence of other Rehab Management or Leadership as necessary. Arrange ongoing student and fieldwork opportunities for all Rehab disciplines and locations including maintaining contracts and establishing processes and protocols for the utilization of students. May perform as staff level patient care provider as needed across locations based on patient care and staffing demands. Other duties as assigned.
