Job Description

If you are looking for a supervision opportunity within the field without having to do direct therapy, here is an exciting opportunity for you. This full-time position will focus on providing oversight and clinical guidance to students, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), and Clinical Fellows (CFYs). Additionally, the role includes offering clinical support to all employees across our clinics and school-based programs, ensuring high-quality care and professional development. This position is great for those SLPs who want to help mentor and develop other clinicians in the field.
Requirements:
CA SLP License Minimum 10 years of SLP experience Must have both school and private practice experience
Supervision and Mentorship:
Supervise and mentor graduate students completing practicum requirements in speech-language pathology. Supervise and mentor SLPA field work students completing requirements in speech-language pathology. Oversee and provide guidance to SLPAs in accordance with state and federal regulations. Mentor and provide clinical supervision to Clinical Fellows (CFYs) & SLPAs to support them in meeting clinical fellowship requirements. Monitor and evaluate performance, offering feedback, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Clinical Support:
Provide clinical expertise and support to all clinic and school employees, ensuring the implementation of effective, evidence-based therapy techniques. Assist with case management, treatment planning, and ongoing assessment of patient progress across various settings. Serve as a resource for troubleshooting complex cases and delivering specialized therapy strategies.
Program and Quality Improvement:
Collaborate with clinic and school leadership to ensure program development, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with clinical standards. Participate in regular meetings and contribute to staff development and continuing education efforts. Help coordinate professional development activities and trainings for clinic and school-based staff.
Documentation and Compliance:
Ensure all documentation by students, SLPAs, and CFYs meets regulatory, ethical, and clinic standards. Assist in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to speech-language pathology services.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care. Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders regarding patient progress and treatment plans. Represent the speech-language pathology team in various clinic or school meetings, as needed.
