Ideal qualifications and background:

Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (California) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility at Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) level Experience or strong interest in pediatrics and school-based therapy Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, educators, and families Adaptable, compassionate, and committed to student development Key responsibilities: Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing input and progress reports as required Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and caregivers for integrated student support Maintain ongoing documentation and comply with state, district, and federal regulations Provide both individual and group therapy sessions as indicated by student needs Working in this setting provides valuable experience across diverse caseloads and age groups, along with opportunities to enhance your professional skills.
