Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of elementary school students as a Speech Language Pathologist at a supportive and dynamic elementary school located near vibrant San Jose, CA. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals motivated to help young learners communicate, grow, and thrive in a school setting. With a start date at the end of January, you'll step into a meaningful role providing essential speech and language services during regular school hours—and have a chance to extend your impact with additional hours for after-school IEP meetings.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Valid SLP licensure with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially within schools In-depth knowledge of school-based intervention and assessment methods Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills Proactive, compassionate, and adaptable approach to therapy and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-age students Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and monitor progress according to student goals Coordinate with classroom teachers and support staff to implement strategies Participate in IEP meetings, including flexible after-school hours as needed Maintain accurate records and comply with legal and ethical standards Engage parents and caregivers in the therapy process to foster student success This contract position offers a regular weekday schedule, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the possibility for extra hours to support critical student meetings.
