Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students' communication development as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic California school setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering student growth and delivering impactful therapy services throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, with an immediate start available.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to create individualized treatment plans and adapt to varied caseloads Knowledge of IEP process and experience working with multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication needs Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to optimize each student's educational experience Maintain detailed documentation of progress and communicate updates with relevant stakeholders Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers on strategies to facilitate communication access in learning environments Facilitate small group and individual therapy sessions Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility reviews, and staff conferences as needed Enjoy a regular schedule, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., spanning 35 hours per week.
