Full Job Description About Us:
For over 40 years, since 1983, Professional Tutors of America, Inc. has provided educational services to thousands of students throughout California and nationwide. Our company started as a tutoring company, and over the years, we have evolved to become a comprehensive, full-service Educational Consultant for over 300 School Districts. We offer a variety of services, including Academic Instruction, Occupational Therapy, Language and Speech, Counseling, and Mental Health Services. Services provided are a combination of Compensatory Services, Home/Hospital Instruction, as well as in some cases, Primary Instruction and/or Therapy. Our Special Education team is looking for Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) who can provide in-home therapy to students in Temecula, Hemet, and Winchester, CA. Our SLPs can earn $80-$95.00 per hour, depending on education, licenses, and professional occupational therapy experience. SLPs and providers in California are part-time employees and are reimbursed for mileage and travel time while on the clock (tutoring session to tutoring session). Administrative time is also provided.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a valid California SLP license Must pass and clear a CA Live Scan (background check) Provide a Tuberculosis clearance (under 4 years old) upon hire Ability to provide treatment in person at the student's home Motivation and passion to provide speech therapy treatments- similar to home-health therapy services- based on the student's IEP Communicate ongoing student progress with parents and the case manager Collaborate with families on students' needs Have daytime availability during the work week The logistics: Our model is entirely 1-to-1, and our services are provided at the student's home. Our SLPs finalize the schedules with parents based on their availability. This opportunity requires our SLPs to be available during the school day from Monday through Friday. SLPs can work with as few (1) or as many (10+) students on their caseload. I'm perfect for the team! How do I apply?
