We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team at Beachside Post Acute in Torrance, California. As a Speech Therapist at our facility, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to our patients. Our community is built on the foundation of "A Community of Caring," and we strive to provide premier nursing and rehabilitation services while maintaining the dignity and privacy of every resident.
Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative services to patients who have experienced injury or disability, disease, or other conditions that impact their speech and language abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with Speech Language Pathology Standard of Care and Practice. Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify learning needs and develop teaching plans to address these needs. Provide instruction and guidance to patients, families, and staff on speech and language therapy techniques and strategies. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop a comprehensive plan of care for each patient. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment, progress, and outcomes.
Requirements:
Current CPR Certification. Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (required). 1-2 years of experience in long-term care preferred. Good physical and mental health. Ability to perform physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Training, knowledge, and experience to perform general supervision of responsibilities.
Reporting:
The Speech Therapist reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.
