A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing speech and language services in a supportive educational setting on a contract basis near the scenic Ventura, CA area. This exciting opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists who have achieved their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and possess a passion for empowering students to reach their full communication potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Previous experience in a school-based environment preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities Commitment to supporting diverse student needs Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans

Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to facilitate students' progress Maintain accurate records of student evaluations, progress, and therapy outcomes Develop and monitor IEP goals, providing input during team meetings Use engaging, evidence-based practices and resources tailored to individual student needs Offer support and education to families regarding continued skill development at home Why You'll Thrive in
