The SLP will provide evaluations and therapy to help students improve their communication skills, participate in the classroom, and access the curriculum. This position includes developing IEP goals, monitoring student progress, maintaining required documentation, and collaborating with families, teachers, and special education professionals. Experienced school-based SLPs and qualified clinical fellows are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Evaluate students' speech, language, fluency, voice, and communication needs. Develop measurable, student-centered IEP goals. Provide individual, small-group, and classroom-based services. Support articulation, receptive and expressive language, social communication, fluency, and other identified needs. Participate in IEP, eligibility, evaluation, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Maintain treatment notes, progress reports, evaluation records, and required Medicaid documentation. Use student data to monitor progress and adjust interventions. Collaborate with teachers to support classroom participation and curriculum access. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers. Coordinate services with special education teachers and related-service professionals. Follow school procedures and applicable state and federal special education requirements. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in speech-language pathology or communication disorders. Colorado Department of Education Special Services License with a School Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement, or eligibility to obtain one. Colorado DORA-issued SLP license or qualifying compact-state license, when applicable. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred. School-based practicum or experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Knowledge of IEP development and evidence-based speech-language interventions. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Clinical fellows may be considered when appropriate supervision and licensing requirements can be met.
