A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
PRIVATE PRACTICE
- SPEECH
LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST / CLINICAL FELLOW OR CCC AACS
is seeking a Clinical Fellow (CF) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a dynamic team of implementers serving adults with acquired and chronic neurological conditions who require traditional speech and language treatments and interventions and who require Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and specialty services. This is a full-time and permanent position in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Candidate must have an interest in traditional treatment/intervention and technology, be willing to learn, and enjoy working collaboratively as a team. No experience necessary- training, mentorship and team support provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing traditional treatment and interventions in the natural setting
- Implementation, treatment, training, education and consultation for adults with complex communication needs who require AAC in the natural setting
- Customizing devices and supporting systems
- Partnering with the community to support adults with complex communication needs
REQUIREMENTS
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Passed the Praxis Examination
- Must have completed the academic requirements for Master's Degree and be eligible to begin a Clinical Fellowship (CF) OR be an applicant for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) OR have already completed the Certificate of Clinical Competency
LOCATION
- This is a position serving Colorado Springs and surrounding communities
- The candidate would reside or would need to relocate to the Colorado Springs area
- All services take place in the natural setting

Specialists LLC is a private practice group of Speech Language Pathologists specializing in evidence-based speech and language interventions and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). We provide traditional services and AAC interventions to adults with acquired and chronic neurological conditions who present with communication barriers impeding the ability to participate in Activities of Daily Living. Services are person-centered and include evaluation, treatment, training and consultation for adults who require traditional interventions and who require AAC systems and strategies within the natural environment.Job Information Job Category:
