Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for patients of all ages, including early intervention for pediatric populations and geriatric care. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals. Provide direct therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve communication skills, language development, and swallowing functions. Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment approaches. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems accurately to document assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes. Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care plans and share relevant insights on speech-language pathology progress. Adapt therapy methods for telehealth delivery when necessary, ensuring high-quality remote patient care. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). Proven experience working with children in pediatrics or early intervention settings is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, language therapy strategies, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to communication disorders. Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive speech and language assessments for diverse populations with speech impairments or disabilities. Experience working with individuals across the lifespan—including pediatric populations and geriatric patients—is desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes. Excellent collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams and engaging with parents or guardians effectively.
