EXPERIENCE
Experience working in school settings on a transdisciplinary team. Effective written and oral communication skills. Flexibility and time management skills a must. Case management responsibilities, basic computer skills, knowledge of Special Education policies and procedures required. Completed a minimum of 100 clock hours of school field experiences supervised by a certified Speech Language Pathologist. At least one year of experience working with students with special needs preferred.
EDUCATION, REGISTRATIONS,TRAINING OR CERTIFICATIONS
Successful applicants must be properly licensed for assignment as a Professional Educator according to the Colorado Department of Education. Eligible to hold a CDE Speech/Language Assistant authorization certificate. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred. Nationally recognized crisis prevention training preferred. Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication or Disorders/Speech Sciences or successful completion of a School Speech Language Pathology Assistant program from an institution whose program meets or exceeds recommended guidelines established by the American Speech/Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

(Annual salary schedule based on 1.0 FTE)

NOTE:
While you may look up your estimated salary on the linked salary schedule, updates for the 2026-2027 school year are contingent upon negotiated increases that are approved by the LPS Board of Education in the summer season. Additionally, know that these salary values are based on a 1.0 FTE working 187 contract days.
