This role is designed for individuals seeking meaningful exposure to direct patient care, clinical workflows, and medical office operations. You will work in exam rooms supporting physicians. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication, adaptability, strong multitasking skills, and a warm, patient-centered demeanor. Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities Assist with daily clinical patient flow. Provide direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision. Assist physicians during examinations and support team members as needed. Communicate patient observations and status updates to providers.\ Room patients, including: Documenting in EMR (ModMed experience plus training available); Taking vitals; o Administering vaccinations and immunotherapy; Updating medical histories and medication lists Prepare charts and manage clinical data. Coordinate follow-up care and communicate instructions to patients. Manage test orders and follow-up on results. Process prescription refill requests per physician protocols. Follow practice procedures, HIPAA policies, and OSHA standards. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in biology, Sciences, or related pre-med/pre‑PA field; or equivalent medical coursework.
Strong computer skills:
Specifically EMRs (ModMed preferred but training available). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment. Professionalism, reliability, teachability, and a compassionate patient‑focused approach. Preferred (but not required) 1 year of medical assistant experience. Previous medical office experience. Familiarity with ModMed or similar EHR software. Traits for Success High energy and ability to adapt to changing priorities. Strong attention to detail. Warm, friendly, and patient-focused demeanor. Team player who contributes to a positive, supportive work environment. Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard workflows. Lots of opportunity for growth. 1 year minimum commitment required.
