Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Step into a rewarding opportunity providing speech and language services in the vibrant Colorado Springs region for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year. We are seeking skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to help students achieve their communication goals. This role is perfect for compassionate, collaborative professionals eager to support young learners' growth. Four full-time SLP professionals are needed, with positions beginning August 3rd. The primary caseload will focus on elementary-aged students, averaging around 50 students per SLP, with additional opportunities across all grade levels. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering job stability and the potential for a long-term role in a welcoming educational community.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid SLP licensure in Colorado and current CCC designation Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required Strong assessment, therapy, and documentation skills Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff Flexibility to support students of various ages and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders Provide direct therapy and interventions to students Develop and track individualized progress for each student on caseload Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive student development Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district guidelines This opportunity may lead to further roles, including the need for SLP Assistants (SLPAs) in the near future.
