Part-Time, Speech Language Pathology Assistant - SLPA in the Thornton, CO area. Dates:
Immediate need - end of school year 3 days per week Weekly hours: 22 hours per week Start/end time: 7:45 to 4:00 each day School has a super special education team … social worker; BCBA; psychologists; counselors; speech and OT.
Role Overview:
As an SLPA, you will support students in school settings by providing speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP. You will implement individualized therapy activities and interventions to help students improve their communication skills and succeed academically and socially. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a meaningful impact on their communication, learning, and overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision and direction of a licensed SLP, supporting students' individual communication needs. Implement targeted speech-language therapy activities and interventions in accordance with students' IEPs and the supervising SLP's treatment plans. Work closely with teachers, administrators, the supervising SLP, and other specialists to support students' communication and learning needs in the school environment. Monitor and document students' progress during therapy sessions and share observations with the supervising SLP to support ongoing treatment and IEP goals.
