We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a school-based setting. Position Overview As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders that affect students' educational performance. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students achieve their academic and communication goals. This position offers the opportunity to work with students across a variety of age groups and disability categories while supporting individualized educational programming. Essential Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments in accordance with IDEA, Colorado Department of Education (CDE) requirements, and district policies. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and speech-language goals. Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to eligible students. Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, service logs, and Medicaid billing documentation as required. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families. Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences. Utilize evidence-based interventions and assistive technology, including AAC systems when appropriate. Support inclusive educational practices and provide consultation to classroom staff. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to support educational outcomes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations. Qualifications Required Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program. Active Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), or eligibility to obtain licensure. Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider License with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement, or eligibility to obtain. Completion of a supervised clinical practicum as required by state licensure standards. Ability to pass all required background checks and school district screening requirements. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Preferred ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Previous experience in a school-based setting. Experience with IEP development and special education compliance. Knowledge of AAC systems and assistive technology. Experience with Medicaid billing and educational documentation. Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply; supervision and mentorship may be available.
