Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students ages 6-22 during the ESY month of July. This position is based at a single site in a district near Bridgeport, CT, and is ideal for compassionate professionals passionate about communication growth in school-aged learners. You'll join a collaborative team that values expertise and provides supervision for SLPAs.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure/certification as SLP-CCC or SLPA (required) Experience in school-based speech-language therapy preferred Comfortable managing a caseload spanning elementary to young adult ages (6-22) Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech therapy Strong communication and documentation abilities Willingness to work collaboratively with educators and families Dedicated, flexible, and reliable approach
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students at one school location Address diverse speech, language, and communication needs with individualized interventions Implement IEPs and track student progress Maintain thorough records and communicate student needs and achievements to the team Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and parents
For SLPA:
Participate in supervision as provided by a district
