Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based role where you can make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from ASAP until the end of the school year and is located near Bridgeport, CT. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and support staff while delivering expert speech-language services to a diverse range of students.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state license to practice as an SLP in Connecticut Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds considered Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills Ability to create individualized and group therapy plans Passion for supporting students' social, academic, and personal growth
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students' speech and language needs Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans tailored to each student Deliver direct speech and language therapy services individually and in small groups Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and maintain compliance with school policies Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service professionals Attend IEP meetings and provide insights for educational planning Educate staff and families on strategies to foster communication skills in various settings Support positive student outcomes by consistently engaging and motivating learners This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment and gain valuable experience with a diverse student population.
