9668429-06810 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting K-8 students with moderate to profound communication deficits. Youll have the chance to make a meaningful impact at a single, convenient location while serving a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students. This assignment covers a maternity leave and will run from September 16, 2026, through January 31, 2027, offering a balanced weekly schedule of 37.5 hours over five days. Experience with AAC devices is essential for success in this role.
Qualifications:
Valid SLP license for the state of Connecticut Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required Experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-8 Familiarity with AAC devices and innovative communication systems Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans for K-8 students Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other support staff Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies Provide expertise in AAC devices and support students diverse communication needs
