School Speech Language Pathologist - West Hartford, CT

Job Description

Bring your expertise as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to dynamic, supportive settings for the 2024-2025 academic year! Two contract positions are available to cover maternity leaves, offering you the chance to make a difference with K-12 students in a collaborative educational environment. Youll work closely with educators, families, and studentsproviding essential services and contributing meaningful growth.
Current openings include:
Position 1: Approximate start at the end of September, ending mid-December Position 2: Projected start in mid-November, concluding at the beginning of January Both roles are full-time, 35 hours per week, and based onsite.
Key qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required; SLPAs not considered Active and current CT SLP license Demonstrated school-based experience with K-12 students Must complete district fingerprinting and background check Availability for a Zoom interview Willingness to obtain or present all necessary licenses upfront Primary responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations Develop and manage individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP requirements Deliver targeted therapeutic interventions to students within K-12 settings Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district standards Engage in progress monitoring and regular data-based decision making Step into a rewarding setting where your skills will truly matterwhether youre covering for the fall or winter term.
