This contract opportunity is ideal for someone enthusiastic about supporting young learners as they develop communication skills, particularly with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices. Youll work closely with educators and support staff in a collaborative environment focused on student growth and success.

Key Qualifications:

Hold an SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) license or SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) certification, with preference for CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence). Previous experience in a school-based setting helping middle school-age students. Strong knowledge of implementing and supporting AAC devices and strategies. Passionate about fostering communication in diverse student populations. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration abilities, able to partner with teachers and families. Organized, flexible, and adept at managing a dynamic caseload.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide therapy and intervention services to middle school students with a range of communication needs, including AAC users. Conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and monitor student progress. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to create supportive learning environments. Maintain accurate records and document interventions for compliance and progress tracking. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing meaningful goals for students. Serves as a resource for AAC strategies and devices, guiding staff and families in their effective use.
