Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding part-time contract opportunity supporting students' communication growth in a vibrant K-8 general education environment near New Haven. This position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year (June 24), offering the flexibility of working 2-3 days per week, tailored to your schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state license (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP in Connecticut Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or strong Clinical Fellowship applicants considered Previous experience in a school-based setting, especially with K-8 populations, preferred Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills Ability to develop effective IEPs and deliver individualized intervention
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students in general education (K-8) Deliver direct therapy and intervention tailored to students' needs Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings for IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student goals Document services, progress, and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements Contribute your expertise to foster an inclusive, communicative, and supportive school culture This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students and work collaboratively within a dedicated educational team.
