Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This in-person position lets you make a meaningful difference in a vibrant educational environment near Bear, DE. You'll have the chance to collaborate with a dedicated school team, helping students develop essential communication skills for success in and beyond the classroom. As a contract-to-hire role, this position offers the potential to grow into a long-term placement.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in Delaware Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required Previous experience in a school setting preferred Proficiency in assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of therapy services for school-aged children Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities Commitment to high standards of ethical and professional practice
Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy sessions in person, supporting students' academic and social development Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans tailored to diverse speech and language needs Document student progress, maintain up-to-date records, and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to reinforce strategies for student growth Stay current with professional best practices and continuing education guidelines
