Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist - Delaware Schools (2026-2027 School Year) An opportunity is available for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services within K-6th grade populations at a school located in Laurel, DE. This contract position spans the 2026-2027 school year, beginning at the end of August and continuing through to the end of the school year. The role involves approximately 2.5 days per week, consisting of 2 full days dedicated to direct student services and an additional half day reserved for meetings and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to students from kindergarten through 6th grade. Conduct assessments and participate in educational meetings and testing during designated half-day periods. Manage a growing caseload with flexibility and organization. Collaborate with school personnel to support student communication development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid SLP certification, preferably with School-based credentials (SLP-CCC or School SLP certification). Candidates holding Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification or those completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF) with school experience will be considered. Experience working within school settings is highly valued. Ability to deliver in-person services initially, with the possibility of transitioning to virtual service delivery by August. Strong communication and organizational skills to handle meetings and reporting requirements.
