Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Millsboro, DE, supporting a K-6th grade student population. This role involves providing direct speech-language services within an educational setting, ideal for professionals holding SLP credentials, including those with certification of clinical competence (CCC) or school-based SLP experience. Candidates with Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentials or Clinical Fellows (CF) with school-based backgrounds will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver approximately 2 days of direct speech-language therapy services weekly to K-6 students. Reserve half a day weekly for meetings, assessments, and testing. Manage a growing caseload with a focus on individualized student needs. Collaborate with educational staff to support student communication goals. Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
Qualifications:
Valid SLP certification, preferably with CCC or school-based credentials. Experience working with K-6 student populations in educational settings. Open to reviewing candidates with SLPA credentials or CFs with relevant school experience. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Location & Schedule:
Position is based in Millsboro, Delaware. Contract runs from late August through the end of the school year.
Part-time schedule:
2 full days plus 1 half day weekly. In-person service provision currently required; virtual service options may be considered beginning in August. This role offers an excellent opportunity to impact young learners' communication skills within a supportive educational environment. Candidates interested in in-person responsibilities should prepare to connect onsite, while those open to virtual work starting in August are encouraged to inquire about options.
