Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Take the next step in your career supporting young learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity involves working with preschool and Kindergarten students within an Autism program as well as an inclusion population. Cover a maternity leave period from mid-November to early March, with a well-deserved break the week of Thanksgiving (no students in session). This is an on-site role for candidates able to work in-person near New Castle, DE. Preferred candidates will bring passion and expertise in speech therapy to a supportive school environment, helping children achieve critical communication milestones.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field Valid state SLP licensure or the ability to obtain before the start date CCC-SLP or actively pursuing Clinical Fellowship (CFY) status Recent experience providing speech therapy services to preschool and Kindergarten populations Experience working with children in Autism programs and diverse inclusion settings Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset Ability to commit to a full-time, on-site schedule for the contract period
Position Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to assigned caseload Collaborate with special education and general education staff within the Autism and inclusion programs Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Conduct assessments and maintain timely, detailed documentation Communicate progress to families and school teams, providing strategies for classroom carryover Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students Gain valuable experience in a dynamic preschool/Kindergarten environment, contribute your expertise, and make a difference in the lives of young learners.
