Job Description

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Seaford, DE | Full-Time Looking for an SLP role where you can spend more time focused on your patients and less time chasing aggressive productivity numbers? We're hiring a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join an in-house rehabilitation team within a nonprofit senior living community in Seaford, DE. This role works primarily with a geriatric population, treating a mix of swallowing, speech, language, and cognitive needs. Because therapy is provided in-house within a Continuing Care Retirement Community, you'll have the opportunity to get to know your residents and follow them across different levels of care. What Makes This Role Different Monday-Friday, full-time schedule 75% productivity expectation No mandated group therapy In-house rehab — not a contract therapy company Strong focus on dysphagia and geriatric care Opportunity to follow residents across the continuum of care Clinically driven, patient-centered treatment decisions Supportive interdisciplinary rehab team Paid onsite training with CEU-eligible opportunities Nonprofit organization with potential Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility What You'll Do Evaluate and treat dysphagia/swallowing disorders Provide speech, language, and cognitive-communication evaluations and treatment Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on each resident's needs Treat geriatric residents with diagnoses such as dementia, stroke, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions Recommend swallowing strategies, diet modifications, and safety interventions when clinically appropriate Educate residents, families, and caregivers on swallowing and communication strategies Collaborate closely with nursing, dietary, PT, OT, physicians, and other members of the care team Complete evaluations, progress notes, care plans, and discharge documentation Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning Help residents maintain their highest possible level of communication, independence, and quality of life What We're Looking For Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Active Delaware SLP license or eligibility for Delaware licensure Experience with geriatric and dysphagia populations preferred Skilled Nursing and/or outpatient rehabilitation experience preferred CCC-SLP required; Clinical Fellowship candidates are not being considered Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with 4% company match after one year Life and disability insurance Flexible Spending Accounts Professional development and CEU opportunities Career advancement opportunities Potential Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility If you're a CCC-SLP looking for a more patient-centered environment with realistic productivity expectations, clinical autonomy, and the opportunity to build relationships with the people you treat, we'd love to connect. #ghrsearch25 #LI-KT1
