Key qualifications and experience:
Current FL Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required Previous experience in a public school setting is preferred Comfortable serving students from preschool through middle school, including intensive and low-cognitive needs, ASD, and behavior units Skilled in providing both direct therapy and consultative services within an educational environment Strong communication, organization, adaptability, and teamwork skills Primary responsibilities: Deliver speech and language therapy to students at Buffalo Creek Middle School and Prine Elementary, totaling approximately 90-100 students alongside supportive SLPs/SLPAs Develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals, track student progress, and document therapy sessions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, special educators, and families, to support student success and inclusion Provide consultative input to colleagues and caregivers as needed Attend IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluations Split your schedule across both campuses, with Buffalo Creek as a potential 4-day assignment Enjoy the stability of a full-time schedule (35 hours per week) and the satisfaction of making a true impact in a vibrant school community.
