Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

An enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a contract position serving K-12 students, with both full-time and part-time schedules available. This role offers a chance to build impactful relationships and help students achieve their communication goals. The assignment is set near Chiefland, FL, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through late May 2026.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current, valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong knowledge of evaluation, assessment, and intervention techniques for a range of speech and language disorders Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families Organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain documentation

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and group speech, language, and communication therapy targeting students' educational needs Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities Maintain detailed session notes, progress reports, and compliance with state and federal requirements Serve as a resource to the school team for best practices in speech-language development
