In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will help improve patients' communication abilities and quality of life through personalized therapy plans. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric patients, including early intervention and school-aged populations. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs, utilizing evidence-based practices. Provide direct therapy sessions via in-person or telehealth platforms, ensuring effective delivery of treatment strategies. Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes through ongoing communication and education. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to achieve targeted goals. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology techniques, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to ensure the highest quality of care. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (e.g., ASHA certification preferred). Proven experience working with pediatric populations, including early intervention services and school settings. Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy, language therapy, and working with individuals with speech impairments or disabilities. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech production and swallowing functions. Experience conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for diverse patient groups. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering remote care effectively. Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to develop holistic treatment plans. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward children and geriatric patients alike.
