Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for residents with a wide range of conditions. This role is ideal for clinicians who are flexible, passionate about patient care, and thrive in a collaborative interdisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based therapy services to patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care. Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines. Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services. Comply with HIPAA regulations and facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates may be considered). CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
