Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the state's board. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required. Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and implement treatment for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students with speech, language, or communication challenges. Develop and carry out individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with parents and multidisciplinary teams. Provide direct therapy, consultation, and progress monitoring for students identified with needs. Maintain accurate documentation, session notes, and progress reports according to school and district guidelines. Participate in school meetings to share insights, strategies, and recommendations that optimize student success. Serve as a resource for educators and families regarding communication support and classroom accommodations.
