In this role, you will work with patients of various ages, primarily focusing on pediatrics, to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in improving communication skills and enhancing the quality of life for your patients. You will collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that promote effective communication. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in patients. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills. Provide intervention services for children with speech and language delays. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare providers, to support patient care. Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and treatment options. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices and medical terminology. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field. Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech disorders. Experience in pediatrics is preferred, particularly in school settings or early intervention programs. Proficient in patient assessment techniques and developing effective treatment strategies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families.
