Position Overview:

Sandpiper Speech Therapy is a boutique pediatric private practice seeking a part-time, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing team in Fort Myers, Florida . This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering competitive compensation, flexibility, and the opportunity to build a consistent caseload around mutually compatible availability. The ideal candidate is an experienced, self-directed SLP who values individualized, high-quality care and enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and their families. Our boutique practice model allows clinicians to focus on providing thoughtful, personalized therapy within a warm, supportive environment without the demands of a large clinic setting. This position is particularly well suited for an SLP seeking a flexible, part-time caseload , with our greatest current need occurring during after-school hours . Clinicians have autonomy in their clinical decision-making while remaining part of a collaborative practice where communication, professionalism, and continuity of care are highly valued. We are looking for an SLP who can work independently, communicate effectively with families, and provide consistent care to the clients they accept. Applicants must hold an active Florida SLP license.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric clients, interpret assessment results, and provide appropriate clinical recommendations. Develop and write individualized Plans of Care (POCs) , including functional, measurable SMART goals , based on evaluation findings, clinical judgment, and each child's individual needs. Complete speech and language screenings as needed. Provide individualized speech and language therapy based on each client's established goals and Plan of Care. Provide engaging, child-centered and play-based therapy using evidence-based approaches tailored to each child's strengths, needs, and treatment goals. Complete accurate and timely daily treatment notes using the practice's electronic health record system. Complete required progress reports, updated Plans of Care, and discharge summaries within established timelines. Monitor client progress and independently modify treatment approaches and make recommendations for changes to goals or frequency of services as clinically appropriate. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding progress, treatment recommendations, home carryover, and relevant clinical concerns. Collaborate with families and other professionals involved in a child's care when clinically appropriate. Maintain consistent and reliable service delivery for accepted clients and communicate planned or unexpected absences in a timely manner to support continuity of care. Maintain all required Florida licensure, professional credentials, and continuing education requirements throughout the duration of the contract. Adhere to applicable HIPAA, ethical, professional, documentation, and practice policies while providing services through Sandpiper Speech Therapy.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current, unrestricted Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license required. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Experience working with pediatric populations . Strong clinical judgment and the ability to independently evaluate, develop Plans of Care, and provide speech-language therapy services. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals. Organized, dependable, and able to independently manage clinical responsibilities and documentation. Passion for working with children and providing individualized, high-quality care .
