Special Populations JOIN US! We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) / Speech Therapist to join our Special Populations team. Partner with BridgePrep Academy in our mission to empower students with communication disorders. In this role, you will deliver high-quality direct and consultative speech-language therapy, conduct evaluations, and develop compliant IEPs that help students across our Florida campuses thrive academically and socially.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Assessments & IEP Development:

Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations using standardized tools; participate in eligibility, referral, and IEP team meetings to design compliant, tailored therapy plans.

Therapy Delivery:

Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy in individual and small-group settings across assigned campuses.

Data & Compliance Tracking:

Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records in full compliance with IDEA, FERPA, and state standards, and assist with timely Medicaid billing documentation (training provided).

Family & Team Partnership:

Collaborate with teachers and leaders to integrate communication strategies into the classroom; empower families with effective home-based strategies.

Statewide Engagement:

Travel to assigned campuses across Florida as needed to support students, conduct evaluations, and engage with local multidisciplinary teams.

MEASURABLE YEAR 1 SUCCESS METRICS 100

% of direct speech services are delivered strictly according to IEP minutes and timelines. 100% of student records, evaluations, and IEPs maintain full IDEA, FERPA, and Medicaid compliance. 90%+ satisfaction rate among school leadership partners and families regarding communication and service quality.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Education:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Licensure/Certification:

Active Florida Department of Education Certification in Speech-Language Impairment OR Florida Educator Certificate in Speech/Language Impaired K-12.

Skills:

Strong clinical evaluation, organizational, communication, and interpersonal capabilities; ability to travel across assigned campus locations.

Compliance:

Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Preferred:

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Prior experience in K-12 school settings or charter school networks. Familiarity with school-based Medicaid documentation processes and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) tools. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish .
