Speech-Language Pathologist The Basilica School of St. Mary Star of the Sea Key West, Florida Immediate Opening | 2026-2027 School Year The Basilica School of St. Mary Star of the Sea, a vibrant Catholic Preschool-12th Grade STREAM-certified school located in beautiful Key West, Florida, is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our student support team for the 2026-2027 academic year. Housing is provided, making this an exceptional opportunity to live and work in the Florida Keys. We are flexible in designing this opportunity and welcome applications for a: Full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellowship (CF) placement University clinical teaching assignment Graduate internship/practicum placement (where appropriate) Position Overview The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide small-group speech and language intervention to approximately 60 students in preschool through eighth grade. Most students receive one 30-minute therapy session per week A smaller number of students with more significant language or articulation needs receive two sessions per week Therapy focuses on articulation, expressive and receptive language, social communication, and language development to support classroom success Small group sizes allow for meaningful, individualized instruction and strong student relationships Responsibilities Provide speech-language therapy aligned with students' educational goals. Develop engaging, evidence-based therapy activities. Collaborate with classroom teachers, learning specialists, and families. Maintain required therapy documentation and student progress records. Participate in team meetings as needed. Foster a positive, encouraging environment that supports student growth and confidence. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program for internship opportunities) Florida licensure or eligibility for licensure (for licensed or CF applicants) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required Clinical Fellows and qualified graduate interns are encouraged to apply.
