Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) to make an impact in the lives of middle school students. This position is based at a single campus serving grades 6 through 8, ensuring focused, meaningful engagement with your caseload. The contract is set to begin as soon as possible and runs through late May, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will bring school-based experience and advanced credentials, ready to support students' communication growth in a collaborative educational environment. Qualifications:

Active Florida State SLP license. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, or a related field. Previous school-based experience, especially at the middle school level. Ability to clear background check, fingerprinting, and all district credentialing requirements in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Provide evaluation, intervention, and ongoing therapy for students in grades 6-8. Collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and monitor progress. Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state regulations. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute professional insights for student planning. Serve as a resource for staff regarding speech and language development. This dynamic role places you in a supportive educational community, offering the stability of a full-time contract with a predictable schedule. You'll have the satisfaction of working closely with one campus, allowing you to develop positive relationships and see the results of your efforts.
